The Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA), in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asia Bond Market Initiative (ABMI), will organize the Seminar on Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds (GSS) Market in Vietnam at 8:30 AM on October 6, 2023, at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, K5 Nghi Tam, 11 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho, Hanoi.

According to data compiled by Bloomberg, the issuance volume of green, social, sustainable, and sustainable-linked bonds in the first half of 2023 amounted to approximately USD 570 billion, primarily driven by record-high green bond issuances. Sustainable bond issuances by corporations and governments increased by 18.6% compared to the same period in 2022.

Where the GSS bond market in Vietnam stands compared to regional and international markets, opportunities and challenges in developing the GSS market in Vietnam, as well as policy recommendations for its development, will all be discussed at the aforementioned GSS Bond Market Workshop.
