On the afternoon of June 25, 2024, the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) successfully held its 5th General Assembly (2024–2027). The assembly reviewed the 4th term's activities, set the 5th term's agenda, and elected the Executive Board and Inspection Committee for the next three years.

In the evening of the same day, VBMA hosted the 2023 Market Makers Awards and the Recognition Ceremony for active members' contributions during the 4th term. The event saw attendance from distinguished guests from government agencies, partner organizations, and numerous VBMA members.

At the ceremony, VBMA awarded the best Repo market makers of 2023. These prestigious awards, given annually since the introduction of the Short-term Government Bond Repo Market Maker Agreement in 2020, recognize the contributions of market makers in developing the reference yield curve for Repo transactions, thereby enhancing market liquidity.

For 2023, the Repo Market Maker Agreement awards included two categories: Highest Trading Volume Market Maker and Best Quote Market Maker.
