08/07/2025

From June 30 to July 4, 2025, Ms. Ta Thi Bich Thao – Deputy Secretary General – represented the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) at the 43rd Meeting of the ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF) held in Kyoto, Japan. The VBMA representative presented the Association's experience in developing benchmark yield curves and the market maker system that VBMA has been implementing for the past few years.

The ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF) was established in May 2010 by finance ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) together with China, Japan, and South Korea — collectively known as ASEAN+3. The Forum functions to integrate the ASEAN+3 markets through standardization and harmonization of regulations and market practices as well as market infrastructures relating to cross-border bond transactions.

ABMF meetings are held three times a year, bringing together more than 100 experts from ministries of finance, central banks, securities market regulators, central securities depositories, stock exchanges and market operators, market associations, as well as major financial institutions in the region.
