Government Bond Auction Result on January 31st, 2024

On January 31st, 2024, the State Treasury called for bidding a total of VND 10,000 billion of Government bonds, including 5-year bonds (VND 3,500 billion), 10-year (VND 3,000 billion), 15-year (VND 3,000 billion), and 30-year (VND 500 billion). The winning rate of 5-year, 10-year, 15-year, and 30-year bonds was 10%, 51%, 32% and 33%, respectively.
The winning interest rate for 5-year tenors increased by 2 bps to 1.39%. The winning rate for both 10-year and 15-year tenors gained by 5 bps to 2.28% and 2.48%, respectively. Besides, the winning rate for 30-year bonds remained unchanged at 2.85%.

Year to date, the State Treasury issued VND 19,509 billion of Government bonds across various tenors from 5 to 30 years, completing about 15.4% of the Q1.2024 plan of VND 127,000 billion.
The winning value of 10 and 15-year bonds are the largest with VND 7,328 and VND 5,216 billion issued, respectively, accounting for about 64.3% of the total value since the beginning of 2024. 5-year bonds come in third with VND 3,750 billion.
