Government Bond Auction Result on July 24th, 2024

On July 24th, 2024, the State Treasury called for bidding a total of VND 12,000 billion on Government bonds, including 5-year (VND 500 billion), 10-year (VND 7,000 billion), 15-year (VND 3,000 billion) and 20-year bonds (VND 1,500 billion). While 5-year bonds were sold out, the winning rates of 10-year, 15-year and 20-year bonds were 33%, 33% and 70%, respectively.
In addition, while the 15-year tenors winning interest rate increased by 1 bps, the winning interest rate for 10-year and 20-year tenors remained unchanged, equivalent to 2.76% and 2.98%.

Year to date, the State Treasury issued VND 187,994 billion of Government bonds across various tenors from 5 to 30 years, completing about 47% of the 2024 plan of VND 400,000 billion.
The winning value of 10-year and 15-year bonds are the largest with VND 100,381 and VND 41,656 billion issued, respectively, accounting for about 75.6% of the total value since the beginning of 2024. 5-year bonds come in third with VND 35,750 billion.
During third quarter, VND 31,492 billion of Government bonds was issued, equivalent to 21% of the Q3 plan.
