Government Bond Auction Result on July 17th, 2024

On July 17th, 2024, the State Treasury called for bidding a total of VND 12,000 billion on Government bonds, including 5-year (VND 500 billion), 10-year (VND 8,000 billion), 15-year (VND 3,000 billion) and 20-year bonds (VND 500 billion). While none of the 5-year bonds were sold, the 20-year bonds were sold out. The winning rates of 10-year and 15-year bonds were 85% and 58%, respectively.
In addition, while the 10-year tenors winning interest rate increased by 2 bps, the winning interest rate for 15-year tenors remained unchanged at 2.95%.

Year to date, the State Treasury issued VND 183,144 billion of Government bonds across various tenors from 5 to 30 years, completing about 45.8% of the 2024 plan of VND 400,000 billion.
The winning value of 10-year and 15-year bonds are the largest with VND 98,081 and VND 40,656 billion issued, respectively, accounting for about 75.8% of the total value since the beginning of 2024. 5-year bonds come in third with VND 35,250 billion.
During third quarter, VND 26,642 billion of Government bonds was issued, equivalent to 14.5% of the 2024 total value.
