Government Bond Auction Result on June 12th, 2024

On June 12th, 2024, the State Treasury called for bidding a total of VND 8,500 billion on Government bonds, including 5-year (VND 1,000 billion), 10-year (VND 4,500 billion), 15-year (VND 2,000 billion), 20-year (VND 500 billion) and 30-year bonds (VND 500 billion). The 5-year and 10-year bonds were sold out while none of the 15-year and 20-year bonds were sold, the winning rates of 30-year bonds were 14%.
In addition, the winning interest rate for 5-year and 10-year tenors increased by 3 bps while 30-year tenors winning interest rate remained unchanged at 3.1%.

Year to date, the State Treasury issued VND 134,721 billion of Government bonds across various tenors from 5 to 30 years, completing about 33.7% of the 2024 plan of VND 400,000 billion.
The winning value of 10 and 15-year bonds are the largest with VND 54,889 and VND 36,506 billion issued, respectively, accounting for about 67.8% of the total value since the beginning of 2024. 5-year bonds come in third with VND 34,750 billion.
Since early April, VND 54,492 billion of Government bonds was issued, equivalent to 45.4% of the Q2 plan.
