Government Bond Auction Result on February 07th, 2024

On February 07th, 2024, the State Treasury called for bidding a total of VND 8,000 billion of Government bonds, including 5-year bonds (VND 2,000 billion), 10-year (VND 3,000 billion), 15-year (VND 2,500 billion), and 20-year (VND 500 billion). The winning rate of 20-year bonds was 34%. Bonds at the other tenors were sold out.
The winning interest rate for 5-year, 10-year, and 15-year tenors increased by 1 bps to 1.40%, 2.29%, and 2.49%, respectively.

Year to date, the State Treasury issued VND 27,179 billion of Government bonds across various tenors from 5 to 30 years, completing about 21.4% of the Q1.2024 plan of VND 127,000 billion.
The winning value of 10 and 15-year bonds are the largest with VND 10,328 and VND 7,716 billion issued, respectively, accounting for about 66.3% of the total value since the beginning of 2024. 5-year bonds come in third with VND 5,750 billion.
