On Oct 07, 2022, Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) cooperated with the Ministry of Finance to organize a conference on Decree No. 65/2022/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 153/2020/ND-CP on private placement and trading of privately placed corporate bonds in the domestic market and offering of corporate bonds to the international market. Meeting participants are representatives from state agencies, notably the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the State Securities Commission (SSC), the Stock Exchange, the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD), representatives of the Australian Embassy, representatives of VBMA members, and experts in the field of finance and banking.

A highlight of the conference is the Q&A session on new regulations of Decree No. 65/2022-ND-CP, after collecting VBMA members’ inquiries and opinions, VBMA chaired this session and discussed it with representatives of state agencies on behalf of our members. This important session helps VBMA members to gain a sound understanding of this Decree to facilitate the implementation of this new legal document. Besides, at this conference, the government authorities can better understand the obstacles and challenges faced by market participants. This would help them to provide solutions to support the development of the local bond market in the upcoming time.
